“Take Your Health In Your Own Hands “ Does it easily work for all of us?
Author: Crys
The campaign “Take Your Health In Your Own Hands” seems to be one of the most fashionable topics these days. Although it is spread all over the Internet and Social Media, there are still lots of people struggling hopelessly with health and weight issues. You might be one of them, right? Well, don’t be ashamed to recognize it! That will be the first step in changing your lifestyle in the long run. I am neither a physician nor a specialist in nutrition. I was like you until I decided, some years ago, to learn more about “Health” and, therefore, I followed a fitness course for one year. It has helped me to open up to new ideas about nutrition and physical exercise in order to keep both, my mind and body, fit. However, my message to all of you is find your own way and rhythm in order to be healthier by adapting some of the advice mentioned below gradually to your lifestyle.
Here are some ideas worth to try:
1. Try one day, whichever day that might be as I don’t believe in “start from Monday”, to change your daily routine.
2. Instead of starting your day with a big cup of coffee on an empty stomach, try to get up ten minutes earlier, and prepare your own breakfast from scratch. For instance: scrambled eggs, muesli, a full plate of fresh fruits, etc.
3. Drink still water as much as possible throughout the day. It is well known drinking water helps
- maintain the balance of body fluids;
- control calories;
- energize muscles;
- keep your skin looking good;
- keep your kidneys healthy;
4. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!” Beside the fact that it rhymes, here are some of the apple’s components and their effect on our health:
- Vitamin C – boost immunity, which helps maintain the overall health.
- Boron– support strong bones and a healthy brain.
- Pectin – lowers both blood pressure and glucose levels, and maintains the health of the digestive system.
- Phytonutrients – such as vitamins A, E and beta-carotene fighting to reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and asthma.
Apples are also well known for acting as a toothbrush, cleaning teeth and killing bacteria in the mouth, which may reduce the risk of tooth decay.
5. Try to eat at regular hours, which will help you to increase your metabolism and to lose weight.
Don’t forget, changing your lifestyle requires time and effort! Stay optimistic and tuned for more articles on this topic!
